WSEC/PBS Springfield Signs Off Analog Transmission Permanently June 12th, 2009JUNE 9, 2009, SPRINGFIELD, IL - Network Knowledge's analog WSEC-TV, channel 14, licensed to the West Central Illinois Educational Telecommunications Corporation, serving Jacksonville, Springfield and the surrounding area from a tower in Franklin, IL will cease analog broadcasting on Friday June 12th at 3pm. The same quality programming can be received on digital channel 14.1 with additional programming on channels 14.2 and 14.3. WSEC-DT broadcast its signal on RF channel 15. Analog translator W08DP, channel 8 in Springfield, will remain on the air for the foreseeable future with the same programming being presented on digital WSEC 14.1.
