Call the Midwife is back for its Seventh Season!

CALL THE MIDWIFE returns Sundays at 8:00pm ET beginning March 25. Two episodes will air back-to-back on the night of premiere to kick off the seventh season. The year is 1963 and a number of big issues including unmarried mothers, leprosy and tokophobia – the fear of pregnancy – are facing the midwives.

In addition to contending with changes in social standards as slums are transformed into tower blocks, the Poplar midwives will also have to tackle one of the coldest winters in British history. The show introduces its first West Indian nurse, and her character will give insights into the experience of Caribbean nurses who came to the UK in the 1960s to join the National Health Service workforce.

CALL THE MIDWIFE Season 7 begins March 25.
