Downton Abbey Preview Event

DECEMBER 27, 2013, SPRINGFIELD, IL – WSEC/PBS Springfield will host a Downton Abbey Preview Event to promote the start of the program’s fourth season premiering Sunday, January 5th on WSEC/PBS Springfield. Attendees will have the opportunity to view the first episode of Season 4 before it airs on WSEC/PBS Springfield.

The series, set in the fictional Yorkshire country estate of Downton Abbey, depicts the lives of the aristocratic Crawley family and their servants in the post-Edwardian era, with the great events in history having an effect on their lives and the British social hierarchy in general. Written and created by Julian Fellowes with its all-star returning cast, Downton Abbey Season 4 finds aristocrats coping with last season’s shocking finale. Change is in the air as three generations of the Crawley family have conflicting interests in the estate.

It is free and open to the public. To attend, RSVP to WSEC/PBS Springfield at 217-483-7887, Extension 224 by December 30th. Light appetizers and cash bar.
